One of our esteemed clients, Elaine Rutherford of Topia Garden Design in the UK, shared with us these beautiful photos of our Copper Centinal freestanding sculpture on display in an English garden. Elaine and her company Topia Garden Design received a British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) award for Design Excellence in 2018 for her modern garden design prominently featuring Copper Centinal from Statements2000.
Elaine incorporated Copper Centinal into this serene garden for a private residence in Worsley, England. The owner wanted a sophisticated, contemporary design for their outdoor space that requires minimal upkeep. Topia Garden Design began with modern grey granite paving and a streamlined privacy wall made from southern yellow pine. Box bells and a small hanging garden provide just the right amount of greenery, while a neutral grey seating area creates a cozy environment. The large, metal sculpture Copper Centinal brings out the orange and yellow perennials chosen for the garden beds as well as the accent pillows used on the interior of the house. The modern garden is attractively lit by subtle lighting reflecting up from the flower beds, casting a dramatic shadow of the Copper Centinal sculpture onto the wall. The result is a modern, inviting garden with plenty of space to relax or entertain guests.
