How to Clean Your Metal Wall Art

Have you ever wondered how to clean your metal wall art in order to preserve it for years to come? These tips will help you keep your metal artwork looking as dazzling as the day you got it!

White Glove Treatment

We recommend wearing white cotton gloves when handling and installing your metal wall art. This will prevent any fingerprints or smudges happening during the hanging process.

Dusting & Cleaning Tips

Use a dry, soft cloth or duster to lightly brush off dust from your metal artwork. Avoid using metal polishes or metal cleaners on your metal artwork, as it could damage the paint on your artwork.

How to Clean Silver Metal Wall Art

To remove fingerprints or smudges from your all silver metal artwork with no paint colors applied, we advise using a soft, clean cloth with a small amount of rubbing alcohol to wipe off the marks from your artwork.

How to Clean Painted Metal Wall Art

For metal artwork that has any colored paints applied, simply use a soft, clean cloth that has been dampened with water to remove any fingerprints or marks. For more stubborn fingerprints, use a clean, soft cloth with mild hand soap that has been diluted with water to clean the area.

How to Repair Scratched Paint

If your metal wall art gets scratched during installation or during moving, we recommend to repair small scratches in the paint using a nail polish color that closely matches the affected area. Start out with a small amount of nail polish and apply it to the scratched area of your artwork and allow it to dry thoroughly before handling. We only recommend this with small scratches.
