I added the Black Knight over my den door to add some color and definition to a blank space that needed something bold! United StatesI found the artist while actually Googling for something I had as a vision - contemporary metalwork art that would compliment a hallway wall that was narrow and tall (where we previously had a tapestry and a dark maroon paint). We repainted, and have a lot of brushed nickel or stainless fixtures (door handles, chandelier, stairway balusters, and picture frames (with black mats). I found this site, and started viewing ALL the amazing pieces, and found the Black Knight piece, which was almost exactly what I had in my mind's eye, but really didn't know it! But buying a piece of artwork, sight unseen, was a little concerning (although I will say the price was reasonable, with free shipping, and the reviews gave me a great deal of comfort). I live near Laguna Beach in CA, which has a great art community (and the Sawdust Festival), so I DO have access to a lot of cool art. Still, until it arrived, I was a little nervous! But once it got here, I was SO happy (as was my wife), and we immediately hung it (the phot doesn't do it justice, but I can't capture the full room easily given it's location in the room). Within a day I was back on the website ordering a second, complimentary piece to go in the stairway wall shelf, and I can't WAIT to get that piece! THIS time I am not worried at all, because I already know that I am going to be happy - we have zero doubts. I love these pieces, and love this artist, and I am sure I'll be purchasing another piece or two for our cabin in the mountains.
